A "beating cancer" celebration with caricatures!

Can you think of a better reason for a party than "beating pediatric cancer!"
I can't! My caricatures were part of the fun for this courageous young man and his family and friends.  Batman even showed up, and wasn't peeved at all that I'd drawn the guest of honor with a Ninja Turtle. ;-)

Thanks for having me!

Veterans Caricature!

One morning back in February, Deb Schafer and I switched hats (literally) and caricatured some vets in Philly to honor them for their service to our country and give them a smile. I drew these gentlemen and she drew the lady. :-)

Caricatures at a delightful 3rd birthday party for twins!

These two little guys had a wonderful train-themed party with loving family and friends! I am so lucky to get to share days like this one with such awesome folks...look at this fabulous set-up for my caricatures!
With a sign even!! Their mom was party planner extraordinaire!
After I drew the kids in attendance, it was time to draw the adults (hee hee)
Grandparents first! He reminded me of Chuck Berry.
Then family and friends...and REACTIONS!!!

Then the mom and dad of the birthday boys:
I I think it's safe to say they liked it. ;-)
Then the dad and his father-in-law sat last for me, so I had to pull out a masterpiece! They asked for a fishing theme. HA!!!! Love the reaction!!!
The caricatures were displayed for the duration:
And the kids enjoyed their cake!
Thanks for having me!! :-)

Caricatures at a 39ish---excuse me, 40th, birthday party!

40 is the new 30...at any rate, I love caricaturing at milestone birthday parties. This one was help after-hours in a nice restaurant.

I didn't draw the birthday boy because this is the third or fourth (lost track) event he and his family nave booked me for, so he has plenty of caricatures by me! Below is a photo of the group photo.

A post-holiday holiday party!

Every year, I get a January gig that is a holiday party--for some smart folks who wait a bit for their party! This one was for a delightful extended family.

We'll start with this fun reaction:

Hahaha good reaction!!
A view of some of the finished caricatures on the table.

Caricatures at a Mauve Wedding!

This bride was an original...her dress was mauve---so pretty and unusual!
I arrived early enough to see her go in for the ceremony on the arm of her father.
The venue was a former industrial building. So cool to see it renovated to a place of celebration!
Spot my easel!
Once the reception started, of course I was busy, The kids who were in attendance were drawn before I started on the BIG KIDS:

I ended up moving across the room to a more brightly-lit spot once night fell...

Finally, the lovely bride and groom!
What a fun reception, congratulations to Kelly and Chris!

Caricatures at the Hummelstown Arts Festival 2016

For the past couple of years, I've drawn in the Kids Area of this lovely little town's annual Arts Festival...

Aren't they cute???

College Welcome Caricatures!

Move-in days at universities are fraught with emotions... Once the parents are gone, and the boxes are hauled into dorms, the students are ready to PARTY! And often, my caricatures are part of the fun!
This particular event was at a residence for Temple University students in Philadelphia.
Temple is known for having lots of international students. :-)

Bad news: My Copic Sketch marker had a mini-explosion. Goodbye, Anne Taylor Loft t-shirt. :-(
Good news: One of the students immediately put her caricature on Instagram! Yay!
