O's Father's Day Caricatures

I really love doing Mother's Day or Father's Day at a ballpark...baseball is such a family-oriented American tradition...and so are caricatures. :-)

Father-daughter.....and Father-son:

Some folks were there to celebrate other things, though---like a 21st birthday:
I don't know WHAT this guy was celebrating ;-)

50th Birthday Celebration at a riverside mansion

 Can you believe she's 50? I couldn't, either.

My afternoon at her party began by finding a spectacular parking spot!!
The party was being held on the banks of the Susquehanna River, in a glorious old mansion. My easel and I were situated on the big stone porch:
Here are some of the faces I drew that afternoon:

along with some reactions:
The afternoon was lovely, and so was the sunset:

When I left, it was full dark, but still pretty!
Happy birthday, Jenine, and thanks for having me!

Wedding Caricatures for a fun-loving couple...

The groom booked me through Gigmasters  (usually it's the brides who do that) to draw caricatures at their wedding festivities...

It was a very child-friendly reception:

Then the adults got in line for me!

Congratulations, Dr. Nancy and Dr. Hook! ;-)
The groom left me some very appreciated feedback on my Gigmasters profile, thanks, Ian!
"Emily was amazing. My wedding (6/12/2016 in Monroe, NJ) had 30 kids < 18 years old in attendance. Emily was able to draw them in groups, keep them engaged, and managed not to lose her sanity in the process! She was a consummate professional and and drew lovely caricature portraits for adults as well. I only wish she had taken time to eat! I would definitely recommend Emily for any event. Her style was a perfect bled of portrait-style and cartoon-ish embellishment, depending on what the subject wanted. My (now wife) and I got our portraits done last, and they came out amazing. it's been framed already and it one of our favorite keepsakes from the day."

Historic Manor Wedding Caricatures

This couple knew how to throw an elegant yet fun wedding! I'll start with them, even though they were the finale of my evening...
Here is their caricature in the line-drawing stage, then the finished version:
The venue was a beautifully restored stone manor house:
Their wedding color was pale pink.
I arrived just in time to see them enter the reception:
While the bride and groom and their guests ate in a beautifully appointed dining room, I set up in a fabulous---and I do mean FABULOUS-- foyer:

After I caught my breath in awe of my surroundings, it was time to draw...and I kept busy the whole time. So busy that I didn't get many photos of caricatures at all...these few are IT.

I did have a good view from my easel of the cake cutting:
It was a pale-pink-hued night to remember.
After finishing, I spotted a guest who was sharing her stash of Red Bulls---so I asked if she could spare one, since I had a bit of a drive home (most of the guests stayed in the manor house that evening, lucky them!). She was generous enough to do so, so THANK YOU, dear wedding guest. Amanda and Ben, thank YOU for such a memorable fun reception!

Grad party caricatures!

A high-school graduation party with lots of love for their graduate:
There's the guest of honor in his cap and gown...
and with his grandma. :-)
Below, some happy guests!
Thank you for having me!!!
