Today was the birthday of the Philadelphia Phillies' mascot, the Phillie Phanatic. He's a very popular character with both kids and adults, and everybody wanted him in their caricature.
I love when couples follow different teams...this guy was a die-hard Orioles fan, and she was a Phillies-hatted Marlins-jerseyed duel unto herself...

Double Duty
Last night, I drew at two different events...a Phillies game and then a local high school's post-prom party, which was held in the wee hours of the morning.
Here are some examples from my double whammy.
There was a green-hat giveaway this evening, so I didn't draw red hats for a change.
These are from the post-prom:

Finally, a warm, sunny day to caricature outside!
Today's event was a track and field meet for a local college. I was tucked under the bleachers alongside the main entrance. Some kids were hams, and others asked me to inscribe their drawings to their moms for Mother's Day! (3 weeks away!)
A fun afternoon for all, and a right-arm-and-neck sunburn for me. That'll teach me to forget the sunscreen!

First post!
Well, maybe I am a little late jumping on the blog bandwagon, but here I am. This is where I will post up-to-the minute current artistic endeavors.
This weekend I drew at a Bar Mitzvah. After the crush of young teens ( during which it was too busy for photo ops), the grownups lined up. Here are a few gentlemen brave enough to face my pen...
