60th Birthday Masquerade caricatures!!!

 This milestone birthday party was a total joy---glamorous and heartwarming at the same time! It was held in a hotel ballroom and featured a very good live band. Of course, I dressed up too!! They had me seated just outside the entrance to the ballroom...

...where the photographer was also doing his thing.

Campus Mardi Gras party!

On Sunday evening, it was my pleasure to draw for some college students and faculty who were celebrating Mardi Gras!



The young man in the last photo could do a mean Joker smile---he said people always told him that, or that he looked like Obama!

Mardi Gras merriment

A local university held a Mardi Gras evening tonight, which included a masked caricature artist! ;-)
There was also a great live jazz ensemble, a silver-clad dancer, make-your-own masks, and other goodies. The students also made time for some video of the progress New Orleans has made since Hurrican Katrina... One of my subjects took some great photos for me. (Thanks!!) Enjoy! The dancer got a drawing too!
