Baseball-themed 6th birthday caricatures!

I haven't drawn the Phanatic in awhile, I still got it!! :-D
Look at her awesome cake!
So...caricatures. While asking her parents if they'd ever been drawn together before, they said yes..at the state fair of Texas.
Here's mine from the other night:
and here's their 2016 caricature from my friend Celestia!
Haha small world!
I was set up in a nice sunroom and was busy the whole time.
They took a group shot of most of the caricatures.
And finally, here are a few of the grown-up guests:

This was my second gig of the day, and it was so pleasantly close to home!
Thanks for having me! :-)

6th Birthday Caricatures (with a side of Football and Ice Cream)

I arrived VERY early for this event because I knew the town would be hosting a bike race---the main street was closed off for it. My destination was a quaint little retro ice cream parlor, right where all the action was happening!
Got in, set up and did the cute little birthday guy first!
He likes football!
Lots of kids attending so only a few pics...here is a girl and a boy guest:

At the very end, I was asked to draw some of the ice cream parlor staff...what great faces!! And caricature reaction! They gave me one of the best ice cream cones I've had in a loooong time: salted caramel with pretzel pieces in a pretzel cone!!

Once again, GIGMASTERS put us together: here is my client's review:
We hired Emily for my son’s 6th birthday party and she was such a big hit!! She was so great with all the kids, had such patience and made them all laugh. Her caricatures were awesome; we already framed them. Emily made my sons party one for the books and I can’t thank her enough!
Thank YOU for having me! :-)

6th birthday party caricatures!

Being six is fun!
This party was for a friend of a previous birthday girl's 5th birthday! Word of mouth! :-)
I was set up in their arts and crafts room just off the family room---perfect spot!
Butterfly theme...so I drew butterflies on all the caricatures. Thanks for having me!!!

A 6th birthday party

Sunday afternoon found me in the company of a happy pack of six-year-old boys...they clearly had been influenced by current and past movie trends!
Here's the birthday boy, and he wanted The Flash! The number of kids was just right to allow for full-color-with-body caricatures.

Well, there were a few girls...
This party was perfect from the boys' standpoint...there was a bounce house, super soakers (the boys didn't get one drop on me, but I did spill my iced tea in my easel drawer) and yummy tomato pie.
Their little shoes strewn everywhere were so cute...
Here's the whole bunch:
Let's see, I did the Flash, the Hulk, Darth Maul, twoTransformers, Luke Skywalker, two Captain America's, Shadow from Sonic the Hedgehog, Jaws, A-Rod, golfing, and two tween girls who were as cute as buttons.  :-)

Happy birthday Vinnie! And thanks for having me, Vinnie's mom and dad!

A 6th birthday party for twins...one of whom shares my name!

Saturday afternoon found me in the warm, fuzzy atmosphere (literally, it's been a warm winter in these parts) of a family birthday party for a pair of six-year-old twins. The girl twin, Emily, got to have her name emblazoned on her caricature to excess: my website, my signature, her name and the party name!
In two hours I was able to draw twelve kids in full color with bodies and themes--dogs were popular at this party:
And I LOVE drawing aliens in spaceships, with dubious spectators:
Or just dancin' with personality:
I didn't get a photo of Emily's twin brother Benjamin, but he had an awesome dinosaur hat he'd made himself. After the kids were done, I got in five adults before having to hustle off to another event.

While drawing the client and her hubby, I asked how they'd ended up having me at the party since Gigmasters (where they'd booked me) offers so many choices. She said they'd wanted a lady artist so the kids would feel comfortable, and then they saw my name was Emily, too!! So I jokingly said, you did look at my samples, I hope??? After laughing, she said that my video of caricature reactions was what sold them.  :-) :-)

Here is the feedback she provided to Gigmasters this morning:
Emily was the best - personable, patient, just went with the flow as we shuffled guests in and out of her chair - our guests have been calling all morning about how much fun it was to have Emily draw for our party and the kids were so excited to have something special to take home rather than a goody bag that gets tossed out the next day!

Thank you for having me! I love my job.
