MORE caricatures at the Reading Terminal Market!

Last week's event  at the RTM went so well, they had me back again for another group of convention-goers! This one was 95% guys. The lady (she was the second or third of the whole evening) was the last person I drew. Thanks for having me!

Caricatures for convention-goers at the iconic Reading Terminal Market

The Reading Terminal Market is a Philadelphia institution, and it's right next to our Convention Center, so it's an obvious win for the out-of-towners and even out-of-country attendees to the various conventions held there. This one had many Europeans so I enjoyed telling them about my Dutch beret that I got in Groningen. :-)
...now for some caricatures!

These were all done in Copic markers only, no artstix. I am broadening my arsenal of art supplies lately.
Two other caricaturists, Matt and Courtney, worked this gig with me...it was so big they had us spread out in the Market and I couldn't even see them...but we got a solidarity photo at the end of the night. :-)

Rotary convention caricatures

On a beautiful early spring day, I motored down to Charm City to draw at a two-day Rotary International convention. My client saw me drawing at an event last year and booked me for his hospitality suite! The convention was being held at a big hotel on the Inner Harbor, this was the view from the windows on the nights I was drawing!
And it was a high-spirited, happy group of people both nights, as you can see...

Thanks for having me, Rotarians!!!

Afterwards, my hubby came down on the train and we had a nice day on the harbor.  Have I mentioned that I looooove my job?

Hospitality Suite Caricatures

The ONLY gig I did in November (the rest of the month was taken up by other pursuits ;-) was a two-night event at a pre-Christmas convention---held in the delightful Hershey Lodge.
Hershey, PA... as in CHOCOLATE TOWN.
I'm usually early for gigs anyway, so there was time to visit the cafe---such yummy treats! That's a Chocolate Chai and a Dutch Chocolate-dipped waffle cookie.
The folks at the convention were quite an appreciative bunch!
They had a wonderful sign made for me!
Great reaction!! This was a Gigmasters gig, always fun to meet new folks through them. :-)
This client left a glowing review:
Emily was fantastic! To begin with...she communicated with me prior to the event. She was on time both nights. She was friendly with all of our guests. Talented??? Her talent is overwhelming!!! I would recommend Emily a million times over again. Thank you so much, Emily!

Caricatures at a three-day Biotech convention!

One sunny, hot morning in June, I found myself at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, ready to represent a local biotech company....by caricaturing an international audience of professionals as SUPERHEROES!
I drew and copied the bodies beforehand, along with the company logo, and then added the faces. The time it took me to do each person's caricature, was also exactly the time needed by Vencore's team to explain what their company is all about. :-)
Yes, the men outnumbered the ladies...but I drew some super-heroines too!
This lady immediately made it her Instagram profile pic!
A few more guys:
I drew folks from all over the globe: The Netherlands, the UK, France, India, Korea, and of course places all over the USA.
This is a two-headed American superhero!
There was lots of laughter, photo-taking, and comments that Vencore's convention swag was quite  enjoyable and memorable!
I also created, a little at a time as each person's schedule permitted,  a group caricature of the Vencore team---incorporating lots of little elements relevant to each person.
Thanks to Vencore for having me...and Gigmasters for making it happen!
