Baby shower silhouettes on blue paper!

 This was a very special baby shower, for a precious baby boy...

the theme was "We can BEAR-ly Wait" so I went with blue backing cards, with a tiny little bear...

here's the beautiful expectant mother!

The decoration of the hall was amazing as usual, done by Prestige Decor:

These two brothers were actually happier than this picture shows....it's just that they were among the very few BOYS there!

Summer camp silhouettes!

This is the result of 2.5 hours of cutting silhouettes nonstop...with a very capable camp counselor assisting me--by writing names on the back, and bagging them, to go home with each child at dismissal. 

I'd say it was a successful venture!

America250PA Silhouettes at Libertyview in Philly!

 

This was my view on the 4th of July, as I cut silhouettes for America250PA guests at the Libertyview.

Yes, that's Independence Hall right across the green. What an amazing place to be, (I felt honored) on the semiquincentennial anniversary of the birth of the United States of America!

I was working alongside my friend Julie, who was providing her delightful caricatures:

As you can see, I was in my Colonial garb for a second day... 

and it was a another stiflingly, brutally hot one...

but that did NOT stop folks from celebrating!

First up, Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross!

What a fabulous day! I decided not to stay for the fireworks, as it had been a very busy gig week...and it's a good thing I didn't, because severe thunderstorms arrived and delayed the pyrotechnics til 2 am!! 

But I did get a selfie with Ben!

America250PA Silhouettes in Lancaster!

 My colonial dress made an appearance on the hottest day of the year--July 3 was a record-setter!

I was representing The California Boys, at my very first gig for them.

The 102-degree day meant that festivities outside the historic mansion in Lancaster, PA, (which was owned by George Washington's friend and adjutant general) were moved inside the high-ceilinged and cool interiors. I was supposed to be on the porch, but they put me in the elegant blue drawing room, that housed a genuine signature of George Washington himself. (You can see it in my Ambiance Reel.)

In another room, there were some actual historic silhouettes of the mansion's family, I got chills (which were actually quite welcome) when I looked at them!

Now for some of MY silhouettes! Volunteers were dressed to their colonial best, 

and I had so much fun cutting them out (while being envious of the ladies' attire!)

These are where I only got a photo of the silhouette, not the subject: (these folks were busy teaching how to dance in the hallway, for the guests)

All told, I managed to cut 70 silhouettes in four hours, people were waiting in line patiently despite the heat! Here's a few more just-the-silhouette pics:
