"Frozen" 3rd birthday caricatures

For the second week in a row, I drew at a child's birthday party where the mother was a fabulous event planner! This one was "Frozen" themed, Elsa and Olaf were there, and a few dozen children and their parents were absolutely charmed!! It was held in a gorgeous event space in a mall, first time I was in this type of location, but when you think about it, it makes total sense!

Here's my spot, well-lit and spacious, and where guests could see me!

I had lots of little faces to do (only did children here, so all families would have a party favor) so here are a few of them:

Olaf wanted his photo with me, since I was drawing HIM on all the caricatures!
My sparkly beret got an outing for this very appropriate event---I don't wear it much because it's actually a bit too small...
Thanks to The Bash for putting me together with this wonderful client.
Here is what she had to say with regards to my services:
This was the absolute best caricature vendor we have ever had. 100% would use her again....5 stars!

Thanks so much!!! :-)

3rd-birthday-backyard-party caricatures on a scorcher of a day....98 degrees F

...but we all managed to deal with it!

My clients provided me with a big fan blowing right on me...

AND they gave me DIPPIN'DOTS!!!!

Here's a quick little snippet of video:

Sweet family who found me by way of recommendation of Caricatures by Courtney, thanks Courtney!
(Those pics were after everyone found their way inside to the A/C)

I just drew kids at this party so all families would get one.

Had to draw the fan on this one! ;-)
Thanks for having me!

Gala double birthday party!

Two gorgeous little girls had a red-carpet-themed birthday celebration in early December:

I had a blast drawing them in their bespoke dresses and little Rolls Royce!
The decor was just stunning, kudos to the party planners!

I drew lots of proud moms with their beautiful daughters:

and a few boy-moms too:

There was so much going on!

The grown-up glamorous ladies got in on the caricatures after I drew most of the kids:

What a wonderful night! My client's mom ( whom I didn't get to draw because she was making sure everyone was amply fed) made sure I went home with lots of party food. Thank you for having me! :-D

Caricatures at a delightful 3rd birthday party for twins!

These two little guys had a wonderful train-themed party with loving family and friends! I am so lucky to get to share days like this one with such awesome folks...look at this fabulous set-up for my caricatures!
With a sign even!! Their mom was party planner extraordinaire!
After I drew the kids in attendance, it was time to draw the adults (hee hee)
Grandparents first! He reminded me of Chuck Berry.
Then family and friends...and REACTIONS!!!

Then the mom and dad of the birthday boys:
I I think it's safe to say they liked it. ;-)
Then the dad and his father-in-law sat last for me, so I had to pull out a masterpiece! They asked for a fishing theme. HA!!!! Love the reaction!!!
The caricatures were displayed for the duration:
And the kids enjoyed their cake!
Thanks for having me!! :-)

A party for a 3rd-birthday cutie...

…who loves Doc McStuffins---an animated little girl who wants to be a doctor so she practices on her stuffed animals.
A three-year-old's birthday celebration means--- drawing a lot of little kids! The party was held in a children's gymnasium, so as soon as I drew them, they ran back to the fun while I finished shading.
There were a few kids who hung around to see the result:
He went zany on me when I took the photo! :-O
Thank you for having me, that was my last caricature gig of 2013. Happy New Year!!!!

Super-Hero birthday party!

Last week was a whirlwind of activity for me; my friend and colleague Celestia Ward was in town and we did some caricaturing together. One event was her small niece and nephew's super-hero-themed joint birthday party....which was also attended by Batman!
Her sister-in-law really  knows how to throw an awesome kids' party:
She created most of the decorations herself, right down to the H20 labels on the water bottles. And Batman did "Super-hero training" with the kids, i.e. exercise!!

The kids came in to find their "super-hero name" on a big poster which featured my handwriting...they peeled off their initial letter, and took it outside to a picnic table spread with foam shapes, which they then glued to a cape (fashioned out of a t-shirt)!
Celestia caricatured the kid guests, while Wonder Woman did face painting.
And I drew any adults who were game. :-)

It was fun drawing the bodies at this party! Below: kids by Celestia, Mom by me!
Thanks for having me, Sofia and Nico, and family and friends!!
