Gala double birthday party!

Two gorgeous little girls had a red-carpet-themed birthday celebration in early December:

I had a blast drawing them in their bespoke dresses and little Rolls Royce!
The decor was just stunning, kudos to the party planners!

I drew lots of proud moms with their beautiful daughters:

and a few boy-moms too:

There was so much going on!

The grown-up glamorous ladies got in on the caricatures after I drew most of the kids:

What a wonderful night! My client's mom ( whom I didn't get to draw because she was making sure everyone was amply fed) made sure I went home with lots of party food. Thank you for having me! :-D

South Bowl corporate holiday party caricatures~

This is such a great venue...a swanky bowling alley with a bar, a DJ, and my caricatures! This company enjoyed the heck out of their holiday party!

Actually, it wasn't just my caricatures; my friend Julie drew with me that night, too. We both had a good view of Home Alone II, which was playing on the bar's big screens.....mmmmm, Tim Curry!!! Here's my set-up (at which I last sat, in December of 2019! Felt good to be back!)

Here's a few scenes from my seat:

Before it got busy, a few folks asked for their pets to be added, so we obliged!
Here's my view of Julie working away, with another Tim Curry sighting!!!!!!
LOL Thanks for having us, South Bowl!

Silhouettes at an antique-car-museum fete!

Saturday afternoon's event was held on a brilliantly blue-sky-ed, crisp afternoon, and found me cutting silhouettes in period costume!

There were some amazing cars there, I liked the really old ones:

Even KooKoo the Cartoon Clown had a noteworthy vehicle--which left bubbles trailing in its wake!!!

Thanks for having me for a fabulous day of silhouetting, Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles!!!

Open House Caricatures: Midweek and mid-afternoon!

A previous client passed on my name to someone else in her company, and the someone-else hired me for the headquarters' Open House!  I sat in the lobby and drew lots of group caricatures! :-D

Halloween Wedding Caricatures!!!

Last night, I had the pleasure of doing two of my favorite types of events, a Halloween party and a wedding reception, rolled into one!!!! The bride and groom had a Covid-downsized ceremony in 2020, so this was their big celebration for family and friends.  First up, my costume, next to some of my treasured witchy decor I hang up every year:

My client was a young lady who likes to book my services as a wedding gift to her friends.
So this is the third time I've done this for her, and she reaps the rewards of "You rock!!What a great idea!!" every time!
The venue was the Sage Farmhouse, which used to be the home of an acquaintance of my dad's, so I'd actually been there several times as a teen.

The costumed guests had a grand old time getting caricatured!
(This gentleman devil's first name is Bart ;-)

The bride and groom were my finale:
The bride had a great Halloween playlist of music going.....yay, Psycho Killers by the Talking Heads!
Thank you so much for having me!!!

Fall party caricatures at senior residence...

I really LOVE drawing senior citizens! And I've missed it since the pandemic shut down so many fun activities at this type of venue. So, yesterday was my first gig like this in a very long time...for a treasured activities director/repeat client,  who's booked me at all three places she's worked...

Here she is taking a photo of one of my subjects with his drawing.
After drawing some residents, I drew some staff too!!

Thank you so much for having me!

Wedding caricatures at historic Yellow Springs

My third wedding (in one weekend) was held on Sunday, in a truly unique place...an inn in a historic Chester County village, where George Washington himself once visited. I drew during the cocktail hour in the beautiful garden/courtyard...then moved inside...

Above:You can see the bride and her bridesmaids heading to the the ceremony, which was held in a roofless stone chapel up the hill...

When they came back, I got started...

And finally, here are the thrilled bride and groom, whom I drew from photos taken when they came in:
Their reaction really tickles my heart. :-)
Thank you for having me!

Wedding caricatures on the Chesapeake Bay!

This wedding on Saturday night was simply beautiful, at a venue in Havre de Grace right on the bay. I was setting up in the entryway of a huge, elegantly draped tent, when the bride and her father glided by...is this gorgeous or what?

They just had time to get the ceremony in, before a deluge of rain came...I was originally supposed to be outside for the cocktail hour, but I had a feeling it was going to rain--so the tent was a blessing!

Fun group of faces!!

Bridesmaids are always a hoot to draw together: (they are switched from their drawing, though--the upper two are the lower two in the caricature)
Bride and groom were in high demand all night, so I did their drawing from some photos I took as they came in.

Finally, the happy scene as I left--! Thank you for having me!!!

A long-awaited wedding reception with caricatures!

This adorable couple got married some time ago in a downsized ceremony, due to the pandemic...and finally had their big celebration on Friday night...second time I've been to this venue, right on the Delaware River in Delco...

Here they are with their bridal caricature:
The client was the bride's mother, and she hired myself and Caricatures by Courtney as a surprise to the couple! We were both busy all night, but I didn't get any photos of Courtney in action...I definitely enjoy working alongside her!
Here's my setup,
and a few of mine:
So funny, when chatting with some of the guests, I mentioned that the slide show of the actual wedding had some outdoor photos of the bridal party, in a neighborhood of split-level houses...and I mentioned it looked like my hometown...IT WAS!!! I even guessed the right development!

Those two bridesmaids on the the lower right---they had a fabulous reaction when they saw their caricature:
My client left me some much-appreciated feedback via The Bash, thanks so much!!! It was our pleasure!
