40th Birthday Caricatures for a fun-loving Delco family

I headed down to a popular beach town in Delaware, only to find out the party hosts and most of the guests were originally from where I'm from....Delco!!!

Before the gig, I spent a lovely couple of hours on the beach. :-)

Then it was off to a beautiful backyard surprise party on a balmy September evening!

The birthday girl was totally surprised, she got the only color caricature of the evening:

Here are few of the very chatty and happy guests:

Here's the Reel from my IG.

Three sisters: the hostess, the birthday girl, and my client:

So...CHARCUTERIE. It's become a very big THING at parties the last few years, but people have been mixing it up with CARICATURE (both long words that share many letters).  So....they wanted a "charcuterie artist that does cartoons" which turned out to be ME.   LOLOLOL!
She found me on my Google page. ;-)
Thank you so much for having me at Kelly's party!!

Surprise 40th Birthday caricatures!

This surprise 40th birthday party was so fabulous...the wife had everyone standing outside their home, cheering when the husband came home from golfing!

A food truck was ready and waiting!
And so was the caricature artist. I was set up in the family room, in view of the tv---which was tuned to the Phillies 2024 Opening day game.....deja vu, I was drawing there exactly twenty years ago!
And so here's where I was twenty years later: ( even on very similar chairs!
Here's a few of the guests:

Finally, here are the happy birthday boy and his wife. After receiving his caricature
he was roasted by his wife and some others while I was packing up. Hilarious!
Thanks for having me!

Sparkly 40th Birthday Caricatures!

This birthday girl REALLY sparkled! So I'm glad I had a silver Sharpie pen with me! :-D

Her 40th birthday party was the second time I'd drawn caricatures for her family...the first was for her father's retirement party. Her mother definitely knows how to throw a fantastic party!

Here are a few of my drawings:

Had a nice spot right near the bar...
..but it might be the last hurrah for this particular easel. It's an Ikea laptop table that my husband adapted for me, and it's lasted a few years... but the adjustable-height-leg part isn't adjustable any more.  Stay tuned here to see what I end up with for my next gig. :-)

Thanks to Sharon for booking me, and keeping me on longer to accommodate more guests! :-)

Backyard 40th Birthday Caricatures with a live band!

It was great to hear live music after so long NOT hearing live music! This lady's family put on a fab Betty-Boop-themed celebration for her!

AND they had CARICATURES!!! (of course, I added Betty Boop on all of them!)
Here's the birthday girl and a few guests...was trying to get them all done quickly, so not a lot of photos at this one.

AND they fed me some GOOD food afterwards! Mmmmmmm!
Thanks for having me, Falyn and Co! You know how to throw a party!!

Another 40th birthday! 1976 must've been a baby boomlet

What a sweet couple! This one was held in an upstairs room at a restaurant. And their friends and family really got into my caricatures! Check out the posing!

A fuschia, teal and mint-flavored 40th birthday party!

A very girly celebration was held in a fantastic finished basement for a new 40-year-old and her friends and family. My easel and I were ensconced in one elegant corner...
while the DJ and tiki bar occupied the other end!
This party was all couples:

Finally, the girl of the moment and her husband, live and in full color: Happy 40th, Liz!!
Thank you for having me!
One last pic as I walked out: someone found a safe place to put their caricature (gulp! I hope!!!)

A brandy-lover's 40th birthday!

40th birthdays are so much fun, because 40 certainly isn't old anymore. This gentleman was given a marvelous party by his wife, and this is their caricature!
His cake was pretty awesome!
I'm getting ahead of myself. When I arrived, there was a nice place set up for me in their living room:
The guests arrived, and the caricaturin' commenced!

This last couple told me they were recently drawn in Las Vegas and we deduced it was by my friend Celestia. Cliche: SMALL WORLD!!
