Burnt orange and umber wedding caricatures

This fabulous wedding had an unusual color scheme: burnt orange and umber, which was PERFECT for the line-drawing-only caricatures I was drawing for the guests...the toned paper made them POP!

But first, the bride and groom:

I made sure to get his beloved cognac in there! Here is their reaction on my IG

There was a unique connection with this bride---I had drawn her two years ago at an anniversary party.
All my drawings have my contact info on them, so when she booked me I asked whose party it was, and she told me. Then I asked her what she was wearing at this party and if I'd taken a photo--
she said a green feathered-top.  Turns out
I'd included her photo when I designed my vinyl pull-up banner I use at almost every gig!!!

She's in the middle photo, top row in glasses, doing duck lips (which is why I included that caricature
as a sample because it was so cute!)

Here you can see where I was situated at her gloriously over-the-top reception:

Here's how my toned paper looked for the guest caricatures!

The dance floor was PACKED all night:
Thank you for having me C & A!!!!

Update: The bride left this review on my Google listing, I LOVE IT--thank you!

This lady is amazing ! She brings nothing but smiles and pure talent to an event ! Some people thought she was family ! Thank you so much again for your speedy professionalism we appreciate! #GREENCOMETRUE one for the books 🫶🏼

Wedding Reception with a real rainbow....and mini-caricatures!

This is amazing and has never happened at any outdoor wedding reception I've done that I can remember... first a storm, and then a rainbow!! This was truly an evening full of memorable moments.

Here's the video version, in my IG Reel.

Look at that rainbow!
Ok...let's back up a bit...I arrived with a pre-drawn wedding caricature in a signature mat, for the guests to sign their well wishes, and set up on the patio adjacent to the tent for cocktail hour...I had it covered up so the bride and groom wouldn't see it, as they'd opted to be surprised:

People started signing it, and I commenced drawing guests..with over 250 folks there, I used my line-drawing-only mode with mini-caricatures, for speedy results:

Just as the first hour ended and people were asked to head to the tent, this storm arrived:
So everyone adjourned inside the manor house and I continued drawing:

Once the rain stopped, everyone ventured out to the tent and I took a break, so the bride and groom could make their entrance and have speeches and dances. I took some photos of the unsettled, amazing sky...

After dinner, guests came back to the covered porch (third location!)  where I ended my sessions...

The bride and groom were the very last to receive their caricature:
and it was a success!

8th grade grad/dance party caricatures!

I have done this huge, joyous 8th grade grad celebration/formal dance a couple of times, this was the second year with my friend ArtGirl Deb. The theme was Starry Night, and I have my galaxy dress on, but you can't really see it in this pic...

We were on opposite sides of the door this time:

Here are a few of my line-drawing-only style caricatures, (no shading) I drew 4 dozen kids at this event!
