Celebration-of-life caricatures

It was an honor to be a part of this event! The party had been requested by a beloved gentleman who passed away last autumn...to be held a few months after his death so his family and friends could enjoy a festive, happy day! Luckily, the extremely breezy and volatile winds did not deter the guests (or the tent!)

I was booked for the beginning hours of the party (because I was booked elsewhere in the evening)  and another artist handled the later portion. But I  drew a good number of folks, who came from all over the USA, and this couple came all the way from France!

I drew the absent guest of honor from a photo:
...and then I made my goodbyes and headed to Round 2 for the day.
Thank you for having me at Robertpalooza!

Surprise 40th Birthday caricatures!

This surprise 40th birthday party was so fabulous...the wife had everyone standing outside their home, cheering when the husband came home from golfing!

A food truck was ready and waiting!
And so was the caricature artist. I was set up in the family room, in view of the tv---which was tuned to the Phillies 2024 Opening day game.....deja vu, I was drawing there exactly twenty years ago!
And so here's where I was twenty years later: ( even on very similar chairs!
Here's a few of the guests:

Finally, here are the happy birthday boy and his wife. After receiving his caricature
he was roasted by his wife and some others while I was packing up. Hilarious!
Thanks for having me!

Gala Fundraiser Caricatures in the Crystal Tea Room

I hadn't been in this building since I was a child in the 1970's.....when my class went to see the Christmas display here after visiting the Franklin Institute.

And I had never been to its flagship restaurant on the 9th floor...til Thursday, when I arrived to draw caricatures at a 1000-guest gala fundraiser event. The law firm of Zarwin Baum was raising funds for Philabundance at a huge March Madness cocktail party, and it was so much fun!

Spot the artist!!

They certainly had my favorite Philly vice for sustenance!!
Thank you for having me!

Mini-THON caricatures, Hollywood Style!

Friday afternoon found me doing my speedy, line-drawing-only caricatures at a high school Mini-Thon (a dance marathon to raise money for pediatric cancer).  Drew about 50 faces in 2.5 hours. Thank you for hooking us up, Gigsalad!

My feather boa actually gets a lot of use for Hollywood-themed events!

Here's my spot in the gym, which they had decorated for me quite nicely!
Lotsa happy high-schoolers!

This crocheted bunny starred in two of my caricatures!

Thanks for having me!
