Wedding Caricatures in a Beautiful Barn!

 Barns have been a theme in several of my recent gigs, haven't they?

This one was a late-afternoon wedding reception of two lovely people, in an elegant, wood-paneled, modern barn:

The bride and groom also asked if I could draw them in a kind of "last supper" themed caricature with their parents and grandmother...so this is what I came up with:

The venue was especially scenic, a tree farm in central Delaware, "Loblolly Acres". The cocktail hour was held on the patio next to the main barn on the left, and the ceremony happened in the open building to the right. 

These folks were definitely up for being caricatured!

Emily. Thank you so much. You were such entertainment and everyone absolutely loved you. You made the reception a hit. I also so appreciate the photos. They are beautiful and I love seeing the authentic laughs and smiles of our guests. 

That's what it's all about! Thank YOU for having me and keeping me on til the end of the reception. I truly do love what I do. 

Company holiday party caricatures in Delaware!

This happy crew of finance folks had a punch bowl full of liquid cheer, AND my caricatures at their holiday party!

Caricatures at Trade Show booth draws folks in (like a magnet ;-)

My caricatures played a huuuuge role at a lighting industry trade show booth, in Philly. The company was celebrating its first birthday...so they had me draw some key employees from photos (and a cupcake) beforehand, to use on their website:

Then at the actual show, they had an animation of the caricatures playing while they talked up prospective clients...

as I caricatured them! 

There were plenty of international guests as well as folks from our own backyard. AND SOME GREAT FACES!

One person in line was kind enough to take a time-lapse of an entire caricature for me, you can see it here on my Instagram too. It's of the lady wearing the blue lanyard, a few photos above.

Scaring away my customers with a Stacey Nightmare caricature

Twitter's 6-second video app, Vine, is growing by leaps and bounds, and showcasing some very creative comedians and filmmakers. Two of my favorite Viners happen to be luxuriantly-red-headed comics. (Sadly, Tim Minchin doesn't Vine...yet.)
One is my friend Marlo Meekins....and the other is Stacey Nightmare. (Warning: She's definitely NOT G-rated, but IS horribly, gut-bustingly, raunchily hilarious).
While I was working down the shore, I decided to make my own Vine of a caricature-in-progress of Ms. Nightmare:

Father's Day 2013 gift commission

Ah, Father's Day...what to get to honor your dad or husband? This family visualized their jokes into a family caricature, for a waaaaay more creative gift than a weedwhacker or a tie ;-)
