Baseball-themed 6th birthday caricatures!

I haven't drawn the Phanatic in awhile, I still got it!! :-D
Look at her awesome cake!
So...caricatures. While asking her parents if they'd ever been drawn together before, they said yes..at the state fair of Texas.
Here's mine from the other night:
and here's their 2016 caricature from my friend Celestia!
Haha small world!
I was set up in a nice sunroom and was busy the whole time.
They took a group shot of most of the caricatures.
And finally, here are a few of the grown-up guests:

This was my second gig of the day, and it was so pleasantly close to home!
Thanks for having me! :-)

Take me out to the ballgame...for a CARICATURE!

Another O's opener. at Camden Yards...and the weather, and caricatures, were delightful!
Here's a few that I did, using the lecturer's chalk and glove method.

Drawing Caricatures for the Orange and Black...

Baltimore is always awash in orange/black for the Orioles and purple for the Ravens, but I was drawing the baseball variety of caricatures for 2019 Fanfest this past weekend. Decided to try using my very old lecturers chalk for color, as my Prismacolor Artstix don't seem to be made to the high quality standards that they used to be. The chalk is great for getting pastel effects, so great for shading skin tones ( especially cheeks!!!! :), but it's messy and grubby on the artist who's using it. :-/

Yes I know, I accidentally wrote 'Opening Day' on my sample caricature. I guess I want Spring to get here---I am not a fan of Winter.
One of my colleagues remarked that my sample (an imaginary kid I just made up) looked like a baby Edward G. Robinson....I could see that...
Me and my buddy Gary. :-)
Let's go, O's! (anything is better than last year!)

2018 O's Opener caricatures

A warm-ish spring day, an Orioles win, some beer, and caricatures! What more could you want!?

Eutaw Street was humming with excited baseball fans on the first day of the 2018 season. The caricaturists (and the food vendors, souvenir-hucksters and the lottery-ticket sellers) kept busy!

The Bromo Seltzer Clock was actually working (for many years it was only right twice a day ;-) and was lit for the Orioles in festive orange lights!
Below: Waiting  at the appointed spot for hubby to pick me up afterwards...my car was indisposed. :-(
But this view of the famous Camden Yards  B&O Warehouse is misleading. It's the longest brick building on the East Coast of the USA.

O's Fanfest Caricatures 2018

I trekked down to the Baltimore convention center on a not-bone-chilling January morning (for once)

 Go O's!

Father's Day 2017 caricatures at the O's game

Hot and sweaty summer weather doesn't stop baseball fans from cheering their team and getting caricatures for Father's Day!
Here's a father-son caricature:
And here's a gift-for-a-father caricature:

O's Opening Day 2017 Caricatures

A fun day at Camden Yards!

Someone had me draw a fuzzy-headed newborn from a cellphone photo---his grandson was born on Opening Day!

O's Fanfest 2017

January is a slow month for caricatures...and Fanfest is the sweet, warm spot! My friend Celestia was in town, so we both were drawnto Baltimore to work... and flirt with the Oriole Bird!
Here's a few of mine:

O's Father's Day Caricatures

I really love doing Mother's Day or Father's Day at a ballpark...baseball is such a family-oriented American tradition...and so are caricatures. :-)

Father-daughter.....and Father-son:

Some folks were there to celebrate other things, though---like a 21st birthday:
I don't know WHAT this guy was celebrating ;-)

O's Opener 2016

It rained. There was a rain delay. A rather loooooong rain delay. But I got a few drawings in:
By the time the game resumed, it was dark and most of the crowd had gone home. Can't always be beautiful weather on Opening Day!

O's caricature of mine becomes a couple's holiday card!

My colleague in caricatures down at Camden Yards texted me these photos the other day:
A couple took their caricature I'd drawn and had it made into a Christmas card! They stopped to see if I was around, and Gary chatted them up and got photos. Thanks, Gar!
I remember them because of his eyebrows, and am pretty sure there's another photo of them here on this blog, but don't know the date.
