Why Don't We do 12th birthday caricatures?

This young lady likes the boy band 'Why Don't We'! So I googled them and added them to her birthday caricature, along with her dogs---which made it a GROUP caricature! Then I was able to do a group caricature AND individual caricatures for all her friends. Yay tweenhood!
Thanks so much for having me! I was reliving my 12th birthday while I was drawing. :-)

12th Birthday Caricatures-evening backyard party

This was the 2nd time I've drawn for Molly's birthday! I'd been there previously for her 10th birthday. She still loves soccer!

Let's not forget the little brother! ;-)
Thanks for having me again, Molly and family!

Holiday gig #16 of 2015

Well, this one wasn't really a holiday party, it was a French-themed ( I wore my beret ;-) 12th birthday celebration that happened to be during the holidays. December birthdays shouldn't be minimized, and this one wasn't!
Julia's group of friends got full-color-with-theme caricatures, and then I did a group one for her. Thanks for having me!!

Tween-theme-pool-birthday!

On Sunday afternoon, I surprised myself and managed to do twenty-two color caricatures in a smidge over two hours---including some very offbeat themes! The party was at a big community pool. The birthday girl asked to be holding a fishbowl in her bathing suit:
In the interests of speedy efficiency,  I didn't take photos until I was done everyone's drawing. Some other themes that were new to me were 1. extreme couponing!! 2. holding a soccer ball and a trumpet and 3. having a giant wave about to crash overhead. Hahaha.
Two of the dads got in on the fun:
Hahahaha again!!! I love my job.

Gigmasters came through with another great client---thank you, Anne!---who left me some very-much-appreciated feedback:
Emily arrived early and her talents were the perfect addition for our pool party. The moms enjoyed watching her draw and the girls were delighted with their caricatures. It was a special day and well worth the expense.

Tween birthday party!

A twelfth birthday party for fraternal twins, during a summer twilight, was attended by their fellow tween-girl guests!
Above photos, courtesy of the party-giving mom. :-) Thanks, Margie!

Since it was a small group, I had time to do deluxe full-color, full-body-with-hobby caricatures. Soccer was an oft-repeated request, but I also had two more unusual ones:
A mud-race on the left, and to the right: enjoying a strawberry-iced doughnut with rainbow sprinkles! When I was a kid, we called those "jimmies." Well. they were fun to draw!
After drawing the young ladies, the good-natured big brother got his done, with his sport (not soccer!).I learned that you can refer to rowing as "crew" but not "crewing." :-)
Then the mom, with HER favorite things!
Here's a view of most of them after I'd finished ( there's one missing, I think)
Thanks for having me, M & M!
