60th birthday caricature at surprise party!

This digital caricature was a fun commission to do, for an old friend of my husband's...who loves his bayside house in NJ, even though the horseflies love it there too...;-)
The easel provided by the venue was a little too large for it---people had to kneel to sign it!!! (I went with a smaller matt for this one since I knew the subject would prefer a not-huge rendition of himself)
 The cake was spot-on too!
The part decor included masks of the birthday boy at different ages! Everyone was wearing one when he came in, what a hoot!

Winter Wedding 12-30-16

Not all December gigs are holiday parties, Part II: Yes, I did two weddings in December 2016!
This one was held in a coastal area near the Chesapeake Bay, for two folks who were VERY happy their wedding day had finally arrived!

Waiting to go in on her father's arm!
Now for some caricatures:

 Below is their reaction:
THIS ONE was FUN to draw!!
At reception's end, it was time to draw the bride and groom---here's their reaction!
Thank you David and Monique, for having my drawings be a part of your very special day!!

Winter Wedding Caricatures

Not all gigs in December are holiday parties! I was delighted to be a part of this delightful winter wedding reception in an fantastically restored old Pennsylvania barn--- it was even a snowy day!

Spot the easel!

The bride and groom went by in a  quaint horse-drawn carriage before joining their guests to celebrate:

Such a happy day!
Would you care to see some of the caricatures I drew?

Congratulations Andi and Phil, thank you for having me... and for this wonderful feedback on Gigmasters:

I knew from reviews that Emily was a talented artist, but watching her in action was mesmerizing! The booking process was extremely easy and Emily was a delight to talk to - you can tell she is passionate about her work! Throughout our entire cocktail hour and reception Emily worked tirelessly, as there was a continuous line. She always had a smile on her face and everyone loved her drawings. (The drawing of my grandparents was priceless!) Live caricatures is such a wonderfully unique touch to weddings - I'm so glad we had the opportunity to work with Emily and would definitely book her again for another big occasion. Review by .

Holiday Party #4 of 2016...new drawing table!

I have ditched my French easel for a lightweight, simple, and most importantly NOT VERTICAL drawing surface! (Many years of caricaturing on an upright surface have given me shoulder issues. (Most often, onlookers ask if my hand hurts from drawing so much! No, it's my shoulder!)
This was my first gig using this slightly-slanted table, which I bought in a thrift shop. I later found out it is an Ikea laptop table
The party was for residents of a senior-living village. They had a gargantuan tree!

Holiday Party #5 of 2016

Another holiday party! This one was for a law firm!
Yes, I'd want this guy defending me in court---in that suit!!

The new drawing board was definitely working out for me!
The lobby had a mural I liked:
Roses and topiary at Longwood Gardens. Love it!
