Community Day caricatures...before the deluge...

An annual event for me every year, Delaware City Day is usually a crowded, hot, but happy event where I sit under a tree all day and draw caricatures. This year it spritzed and sprinkled intermittently, so I moved into the gazebo...then torrential downpours came and everyone scrambled to pack up and get somewhere dry. I did get a few hours in, though.

Even drew some dogs this year!
The pug sat nicely for the photo. The two below weren't so patient!
Lots of kiddos!

Hoping for better weather next year!

12th Birthday Caricatures-evening backyard party

This was the 2nd time I've drawn for Molly's birthday! I'd been there previously for her 10th birthday. She still loves soccer!

Let's not forget the little brother! ;-)
Thanks for having me again, Molly and family!

1st Birthday Caricatures on a rainy afternoon...

...but the rain didn't dampen the party!

Garages can be festive too!
 Mother-daughter caricature!
Had a 50th anniversary couple there too, had to throw that in!                         Clients kept me longer than planned, that's always a nice compliment to my work! ;-)                                       Finally, a family caricature with the birthday girl.

Roaring 20's caricatures!

Last night saw me drawing at a 55+ residence, celebrating its 20th anniversary with a 20's themed party (what else?)
Amazon must have been very busy beforehand delivering hats, boas, fringe and other frou-frous to the excited residents!
My spot was in the library:
What a happy and dressed-to-the-nines group of seniors!

And there was one Dr Who fan, who didn't smile AT ALL until he saw his caricature!
And the one couple who didn't get the Dress-Up memo...
Fun fun FUN! Thank you for having me!

Wedding Caricature---under fireworks!!

This wedding reception took place in a banquet hall next to the town's municipal building...
so the bride and groom timed their reception to end with everyone going outside and enjoying a HUGE fireworks display...
...then I was lucky enough to get a decent photo of them with a huge bang going off above them!

I enjoyed drawing the groom's apple-y cheeks. ;-)

Also, I don't think I've ever seen mint green used as a wedding color, it looks wonderful.
Below are some of their guests.
Hey! This woman got drawn twice----she came back with her father later.

Thanks for having my caricatures at your wedding reception, congrats to Brittany and Steffen!
