Silhouettes at networking cocktail party

On Tuesday evening, I travelled to a new-ish industrial-style event venue, Casablanca, in my previous hometown of Coatesville, PA---to network with other wedding professionals, at a very nice event put on by Tara at Engaged Management. As usual, many of the attendees had never seen a live silhouette artist at work before!

This is the view from one of the windows, in the refurbished hi-rise building. 

(I used to live just beyond the hill on the far right side.) 

Everyone was delighted and I made many new contacts!

I did most of these by stealth...

Open House Caricatures!

 A previous client, who had booked me to do caricatures at her former place of employment... went into business for herself, along with her sister...and booked me for her own Open House!

The Party Girls are based in Middletown Delaware, and help folks make fabulous party memories with their expertise. They invited folks to come tour their warehouse and my caricatures were the entertainment along with empanadas, cookies, and pink lemonade ( all of which I enjoyed along with the guests!)

Silhouettes at Fabulous Fifth Birthday!

 Silhouettes were a wonderful addition to this Princess-themed 5th birthday party! I cut out LOTS of tiaras, and used pink backing cards for most of the silhouettes.

And here is the Princess with her brother, the knight! Below, my setup:

Here are some more...I cut mostly children at this event (these five all had a parent right with them, so I could ask for a photo.)

What a wonderful evening! And my client is a gem, she even sent me home with an entire pizza! Thank you for having me at your daughter's big bash. 

When I got home I arranged all my offcuts so I could see how many I did... you can see tiaras galore and there are two adults sprinkled in there. 44 profiles in three hours (with a pause for singing, cake-cutting and eating!)

Silhouettes in an elegant barn--at a Valentine's Day wedding!

For the lovely Valentine's Day (yes, I wore red and hearts!) wedding reception of Liz and Brandon, I was situated downstairs at Thousand Acre Farm (one of my favorite venues)...and I discovered that a barstool height chair for me and a hi-top table work wonderfully well for silhouettes! My subjects just stand in front of me for two minutes while I snip away!

I had done a full-length couple silhouette from a photo for them beforehand, (seen above) but here is their real wedding silhouette:

The bride and groom opted for the duplicate silhouettes to be ensconced in a Guest Book.
