I was privileged to be a part of this *very* elegant wedding reception, held at the Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The bride found me on Gigsalad and we both thought my silhouettes would be the perfect wedding favor for her guests, and also--pasted into a guestbook for the bride and groom to treasure forever!
On arrival, this is the sign that greeted me: (see the silhouettes?)
I actually started out for cocktail hour, in the panelled library, which also housed the bar and some paintings of the mansion's previous family...
Front row seat for the bride's entrance!
I could even see the ceremony happening in the adjacent wing:
Drinks ready and waiting!
Here's a better view of my table, showing the bridal full-length silhouette I did from photos,
a week or two before the big day
(precisely so I can display it as shown here, and the bride and groom do not have to pose for me):
This bride also provided her own book for me to use as the guestbook (usually I bring a 5 x 7 bound book with a hand-written, personalized cover).
Here come (a few) guests! I was actually SO busy at this reception that I was not able to take photos, so these are it. Sometimes I *really* wish I had my husband along as a photographer; this was DEFINITELY one of those times.
I DID get a video of the filled guestbook afterwards, you can see that here as a Reel on my Instagram.
Here are a few of my silhouettes, as pasted in the book:
And now here are the lovely bride and groom:
It was a wonderful evening. Here is my view as I left...
Afterwards, the bride left me some glowing feedback on Gigsalad...thank you SO MUCH and congratulations!
Emily did an amazing job cutting silhouettes for guests at my wedding. Everyone was impressed with her level of detail and how unique it was! She was friendly, approachable and willing to stay later if needed. I would highly recommend Emily!
