I joined a very nice group of wedding professionals on a chilly late-spring evening, to network and show off my silhouette skills on Tuesday. Thanks to Tara and Amanda at Chesco Wedding Connect for putting these on! Toured a new-ish venue, Chesterdale Farm...an amazing eighteenth-century barn restored to its former glory.
Listened to a few talks...
And did a few silhouettes!
You can follow these ladies: this marketing expert, mobile bar owner Carolyn, and photographer Elizabeth who posted her silhouette on her IG! Thank you!
Ran into a friend too! Virtuoso musician Brian Fitzgerald was there. I've known his wife all her life and did a very purple-y caricature for their wedding, which you can see here.
So of course, I cut a caricature of their little girl (from a photo) for him :-)
This is the beautiful view upon leaving:
Before heading to this event, I stopped at a cemetery about 2 miles away...and paid my respects to the great NC Wyeth and his family. I like to leave little heart-shaped pebbles at my own family's final resting places. This was the first non-family member I ever did that for...because this man's art inspired many others in his wake.
