Silhouette baby-shower favors at the Hotel Dupont

For the second time in eight days, I did a wonderful event at the Hotel Dupont---this one was an elegant baby shower, held in a gorgeous wood-paneled room I'd never actually been in before...

This baby shower, curated by my friends at  ThePartyGirlsDE (look at that branded mirror they provided-- the purse and scarf are mine--it was too warm to wear--so I draped it on the mirror along with my 

Minnie-esque handbag) was decorated in black, red and gold, with a Disney touch...

All my backing cards reflected that with a tiny, tiny Mickey on them!  Here is the beautiful mother-to-be:

The Bash put me in touch with my lovely client, who told me her baby boy had her nose already, they could tell from the ultrasound! I just emailed her and told her to send me a photo so I could do a in-utero silhouette for her (which would be a first!!)

Silhouettes at the Hotel Dupont: Cheers to Love 2025

 The second of three bridal fairs I'm doing this year was held on Sunday afternoon at the venerable Hotel Dupont in Wilmington, Delaware. I am used to doing caricatures here every December for The Grand Gala...so, it was amusing when my silhouette station turned out to be exactly where I always am, on the landing of the curved staircase outside the DuBarry Room!

It turned out to be a delightful and productive afternoon! Meeting other wedding professionals is always wonderful!

I offered free silhouettes to brides and grooms, and many were delighted to take me up on it!

Afterwards I took advantage of my beautiful surroundings to get a decent selfie for marketing purposes 

(yeah right;-) Many folks commented on my hat....it's a bona fide antique from the 1920's and it is getting so fragile :-(

High School Mini-THON caricatures!

Second time doing this event! And they booked me for a longer period than last year, so as to get even more students drawn. That being said, I drew 79 students in four hours, using my line-drawing-only speed mode.

Silhouettes at networking cocktail party

On Tuesday evening, I travelled to a new-ish industrial-style event venue, Casablanca, in my previous hometown of Coatesville, PA---to network with other wedding professionals, at a very nice event put on by Tara at Engaged Management. As usual, many of the attendees had never seen a live silhouette artist at work before!

This is the view from one of the windows, in the refurbished hi-rise building. 

(I used to live just beyond the hill on the far right side.) 

Everyone was delighted and I made many new contacts!

Open House Caricatures!

 A previous client, who had booked me to do caricatures at her former place of employment... went into business for herself, along with her sister...and booked me for her own Open House!

The Party Girls are based in Middletown Delaware, and help folks make fabulous party memories with their expertise. They invited folks to come tour their warehouse and my caricatures were the entertainment along with empanadas, cookies, and pink lemonade ( all of which I enjoyed along with the guests!)
