Today was the birthday of the Philadelphia Phillies' mascot, the Phillie Phanatic. He's a very popular character with both kids and adults, and everybody wanted him in their caricature. I love when couples follow different teams...this guy was a die-hard Orioles fan, and she was a Phillies-hatted Marlins-jerseyed duel unto herself...
Last night, I drew at two different events...a Phillies game and then a local high school's post-prom party, which was held in the wee hours of the morning. Here are some examples from my double whammy. There was a green-hat giveaway this evening, so I didn't draw red hats for a change. These are from the post-prom:
Today found me basking in more sunshine in Charm City (Baltimore, Maryland). Didn't forget the sunscreen this time! I enjoy the vibe there, the fans are quite mellow. Besides, the Orioles are winning... Here's some of today's output:
Today's event was a track and field meet for a local college. I was tucked under the bleachers alongside the main entrance. Some kids were hams, and others asked me to inscribe their drawings to their moms for Mother's Day! (3 weeks away!) A fun afternoon for all, and a right-arm-and-neck sunburn for me. That'll teach me to forget the sunscreen!
