Baby shower silhouettes on blue paper!

 This was a very special baby shower, for a precious baby boy...

the theme was "We can BEAR-ly Wait" so I went with blue backing cards, with a tiny little bear...

here's the beautiful expectant mother!

The decoration of the hall was amazing as usual, done by Prestige Decor:

The guests were surprised and delighted by the silhouettes:

These two brothers were actually happier than this picture shows....it's just that they were among the very few BOYS there!

Beautifully elegant wedding reception...with caricatures the whole time!

Another amazing wedding reception on a Friday night took place at another new-to-me venue, The Ivy at Ellis Preserve. The bride booked me (quite a long time ago!) for the entire reception and I was able to draw 61 guests as mini-caricatures! Plus the bride and groom's full-size, full color one!

The surroundings were just stunning:

I was up on a beautiful loft area for the cocktail hour then moved downstairs for the reception proper, just outside the ballroom. The guests found me easily and kept me busy!

The evening ended with a rousing Eagles cheer!

Fashion illustration sketches for returning teachers~

 This school district likes to greet teachers on their first day back with an early-morning wellness fair, so I was there by 7 am to set up in the gym ,with my Copics at the ready! The ladies (and they were ALL ladies) arrived and I photographed them, then got to work!

Many of them knew from social media that "live guest illustration" is one of the hottest things at wedding receptions right now, so they were thrilled to get one in this setting!

They were also surprised that I include faces on mine, as so many artists in this field do the faceless variety...

And of course I had to do one of my friend Katie, whom I've known since she was five years old :-)

Lakeside wedding reception with caricatures!

 Absolutely wonderful wedding reception! 

Ambiance Reel

Let's start at the beginning. I had never been to this venue before...the Lake House Inn, it's in rural Bucks County on Lake Nockamixon and it is spectacular! I took this photo from where the cocktail hour would eventually happen:

Then I quickly set up and waited for the guests to appear:

Even the newborn got a caricature!

Then at sunset, everyone adjourned to the tented ballroom on the lake:

The bride and groom came in and did a fabulous first dance, which I decided would 

be immortalized in their wedding caricature...

Food Truck company picnic caricatures!

 The rain (luckily) held off until 10 minutes before this four-hour event was over! Yay!!

The first drawing was a couple with their therapy dog:
