Wellness Fair silhouettes for teachers' first day back

Well, this was an early morning gig for Silhouettes by Emily! (8 am!!) Two of my son's friends are now HR professionals at the high school they all attended, and they thought my silhouettes would be just the thing for a teachers' first-day-back wellness fair for the school district. I had a huge line of delighted ladies, (and two gentlemen) and it was a blast meeting them! Thanks for having me M & K!!

Marvelous music hall wedding caricatures!

I knew this wedding would be amazing the second I walked in...

It's Elkton Music Hall, a concert/event venue that was converted from one of the first Ford dealerships in the United States. These walls saw Ford Model T's gleam on a showroom floor! My spot is on the right. The couple are creatives, so I felt right at home!

And now for the bride and groom!!

I drew them before starting on their guests because I was able to get a couple of really good photos to work from...but they didn't get to see it until the end of the reception.
The order of the night was 5 x 5 MINI-caricatures for the guests, which are exploding in popularity, I should have offered them a long time ago!

LOL she got in one with her BFF and one with her wife!

They wanted their sunglasses on??

This guy and his heckling friends all proclaimed his nose was SO BIG it wouldn't fit on my paper. So I taped two pieces together and cut his nose out in profile. I call that A WIN for the caricaturist!
LOL!

The bride and groom were presented with THEIR caricature at the end of the night...so sweet!!
(he liked how his beard turned out)
Here is THEIR reaction...awwwww!

I took a selfie by their red rose wall. Thank you for having me!!!

All-color Sweet 16 caricatures!

It's not often that I get to do COLOR caricatures at a party, but I did, at this Gigsalad-booked Sweet 16 (for a fellow Emily even!)! Most of the girls wanted to be drawn with their beloved dogs--that made it even more fun for me!

My wonderful client had this to say on Gigsalad afterwards:

Awesome! Amazing!

We hired Emily for a sweet 16 bday party. The girls had a blast, all received their very own personalized picture.

Emily’s pricing was very much in line with the market and Emily did a wonderful job.

5 stars!!! Highly recommend!!!

Thanks from this Emily to that Emily and her fam!

Moonlit wedding caricatures at the Franklin Institute

This was an evening to remember! Once again, I drew caricatures of guests at a wedding reception held in the venerable and historic Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. (The bride had me do theirs beforehand...I used airbrush..and she requested a lovely full moon, in an indigo sky. You can't see it in the photo, but there is glitter on and around the moon. The first pic below shows the colors more accurately, but the second photos shows how it made for a fab sign-in!).

You can see their reaction in my IG Reel. :-)

So....I started out at the cocktail hour, which was held near the famous walk-through Human Heart installation. Like the previous wedding I did at the FI, of course I had to to experience it again for old times' sake.  Another Reel shows the layout ( and folks I drew during cocktail hour)

Then it was time to head into the Rotunda, where the huge statue of Ben Franklin placidly overlooked the dozens of guests, the DJ Jeanyo, and the caricaturist (me)!
This is prior to the festivities...
and this is during!! Lighting is freaking amazing!
My spot was in the same area as last time so I felt right at home:
Here's the couple who posed for my setup pic:
and a few more: (and yet ANOTHER reel...had lots of content for this event ;-)

It was a total blast being a part of this joyous night.

Thanks for having me!!!!

Rustic wedding reception caricatures

Saturday's wedding reception was held in the afternoon, at The Creamery of Kennett Square...I'd been here at events several times before, but never the outdoor back section, which was lovely! The actual wedding had occurred earlier in the week, so this was a very relaxed and casual celebration.

See here, in my IG Reel.

The bride and groom were drawn beforehand from photos and their little son was included...folks signed the mat while I drew 62 guests in three hours...mini-caricatures AND my line-drawing-only mode.

Here's a few mini-caricatures of the guests!

At the end, I got to enjoy a cookie that in concept sounds crazy but was actually good...a chocolate-chip with potato chips!

The bride had this to say in an email afterwards:
"Thank you so much Emily, the guests had SO MUCH FUN with you!"
Thank YOU for having me!
