Team-building silhouette AND caricature event!

For my third event of 2025, I headed to a fashionable retail establishment whose manager was holding a team-building event, in looking forward to SPRING! (which was especially ironic as it was quite a snowy afternoon). She found me via Gigsalad and was hoping I could do both caricatures and silhouettes for her small group. Usually, I don't do BOTH at an event, because the setups are different and require double the supplies. So I asked if drawing small caricatures on a clipboard, actually on my silhouette backing cards, would work for her...and voila, it did!

le
I was able to do 20 people, two pieces of artwork each, in 2 hours and fifteen minutes.
It was efficient because one of the team acted as line monitor, and always had the next person ready to go as I finished the prior one. Everyone was enthusiastic and I was able to chat a bit with them all.
Thanks so much for having me and for this nice feedback on Gigsalad:

So much fun! Emily is such a talented artist and I am so glad we booked her. The team had an amazing time and couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had. I would absolutely book her again!

2nd gig of 2025: caricatures at an Eagles fan's 60th birthday celebration!

Travelled downstate a bit to draw at this gentleman's 60th birthday 'do...capably organized by his lovely daughter, who is one of my favorite wedding coordinators around! Here is his airbrushed sign-in caricature:

And here he is with me, before things kicked off. :-)
The guests were queued up right away, here are a few of them:

My client and her husband...hope to see them both at wedding receptions this year!

Here's one more,  a lady with the cutest freckles ever!
I love my job! 😍
If you want to check out the vibe, here's my REEL 1 and REEL 2 from IG.

1st gig of 2025...stealth caricatures at a January holiday party

For my very first event of the new year, I headed to a popular pub to help a company (that is busy enough in December that they defer their holiday party to January) celebrate! Very smart! Gigsalad hooked us up. My client requested stealth caricature mode...

So I walked around with my clipboard and surreptitiously drew folks, then surprised 'em with a caricature!

Here's a few where they wandered off (it happens) so they're not in my photos:
And of course I drew the lovely client. :-)
Thank you so much for having me! Here's the IG Reel.
Upon leaving afterwards, I took a pic of the venue....are those drones????? 😅

16th/final December gig...and last gig of 2024...caricatures at a VERY special wedding reception!

New Year's Eve 2024 was stupendous...I was booked (in 2023, long wait!) by the granddaughter of a dear friend to draw caricatures at her STAR WARS-themed wedding reception at THE FRANKLIN INSTITUTE!! And my hubby was also a guest, so we could also enjoy the reception and NYE together. We won't forget this night any time soon!!

We arrived as the bride and groom were getting photos on the front steps before the ceremony.
Got a few pics, then went in to set up. (The ceremony was held in the famous planetarium!)

Here I am, ready to go!
I had done an airbrush sign-in caricature in my studio, as a gift to the couple...it was a surprise, they did not see it til the reception...you can see it set up there next to me--ready to become a treasured memento of their wedding!

Their theme was "Til Death Star Do Us Part" so I made sure to get a glittery Death Star in the background and use the Star Wars font...
(This is at the end of the reception, all signed up!)

Look at the sweeeeeeet sign they had made for my station!!

Below, the wider view! I'm waving from the middle left. So nice to have my hubby there to take pics!

Once we set up, it was cocktail hour time! And it was memorable...from the lego place-cards and light sabers for all...
to the signature drink...

(their Rottie is named Rex)
...to WHERE the cocktail hour was held...near the famous Franklin Institute Human Heart! Both my hubby and I had taken field trips here as children and remember it well. (I'd been back to the F.I. for a gig some years ago, so I had fresher memories than him... and it still seemed so much smaller than I remembered)

So.... lots of enjoyment was had by us. Thank you so much, Courtney and Joe!

Then it was time to provide caricature enjoyment to others:
Gotta start with the couple who had a light saber with them ;-)

...and lastly, the parents of the bride (who were actually my first caricature drawn in 2025!)

Yes I put up a Reel!!

A few more miscellaneous pics:

The bride and groom were in great demand all night so I only have videos of them,

Thanks again C & J for having is and Happy New Year!!!!
