Silhouettes at a Grand Opening 3-day event!

 After doing Boot Barn's Newark, Delaware Grand Opening, I was invited back for another similar weekend event, in Cherry Hill, NJ recently. The customers were surprised and delighted to get their very own silhouette cut out right in front of them in the blink of an eye!

This gig saw the first use of my new pull-up banner for silhouette events! Thanks, Goshen Signs!

I worked alongside some other charming vendors---live musicians and unique food trucks--BB's event planner definitely knows what she's doing to make it a very special day for the new customers. (Thank you for having me again!)

I mean, THIS is just one of the other treats besides my art! ;-)

French-themed caricatures at Bethany Beach, DE!

Yes, I got there early enough to spend a few hours actually ON the beach!

The town is twinned with a French town, Perrier, so they were celebrating Bastille Day, among other things... I headed up to the grandstand area where I'd be caricaturing...and just as I was about to set up my easel, the skies darkened and it poured for ten minutes. Then I was thrilled to see THIS:

(Only once or twice in this lifetime!)

Once it stopped drizzling it was time to DRAW!

Love my job!!!!

 

Fabulous rainbow-themed 1st birthday caricatures!

On the same scorching hot Saturday that I did a 3rd birthday party in the early afternoon, my second gig (in the late afternoon) was this rainbow-themed first birthday party for a darling little girl. Drew her with her mommy and daddy...drew guests...enjoyed seeing the wonderful decor and all the fun things for the kids to do at this party! 

I drew rainbow backgrounds on every drawing!

Didn't take many photos as I was interested  in getting all the kids done. 

When I left it was still about 94 degrees outside so I got myself my second giant iced tea of the day at a nearby McDonald's. MMMMMMM sweet tea!

 ...but we all managed to deal with it!

My clients provided me with a big fan blowing right on me...

AND they gave me DIPPIN'DOTS!!!!
