Dog Day Caricatures!!

 It was ALL DOGS on this special canine appreciation day in Manayunk! Here's a few of the many:

Cookies and Caricatures...

 ...were the "draw" (haha) to get remote employees into an office on a lovely afternoon!

Of course, some of these cookies FUELED my caricatures!

My client found me on The Bash and even preprinted the caricature papers in-house for me, so they could have color logos on them. Once I arrived, she set up a sign-in sheet, so things started slowly and ended up quite hectic-ly. :-) Definitely more ladies than gentlemen that afternoon. 

Ok, there were a FEW guys there!

Employee Appreciation Caricatures!

 This company treats its employees to a blowout party every year on the anniversary of its founding. And it is the 2nd year I have helped them celebrate with caricatures!

They had live music, a charcuterie table that was more like a charcuterie mountain, and live music too! But I got a kick out of the company initials made out of pineapples, floating in the punch! Thanks for having me back!

Surprise 60th birthday caricatures!

 My client was the birthday guy's daughter, she pulled it off! He thought he was going to his grandson's 1st birthday party, they even had signs in the lobby saying so! :-D

I drew him last, but here is Birthday Guy's caricature, with this artist AND subject: he's a dairy farmer so they told me to draw him with a cow!

The decor was so perfect, even the venue folks were commenting on the good job done by the family:

Wedding caricatures just off the beach in Avalon, NJ

 THIS was right behind the venue!

The real action was inside, though, for this lovely wedding reception that came to me via The Bash.

The cocktail hour was held on the patio of the Icona Avalon, and my setup was right in the path of a pleasant beach breeze. Ahhhhhh...

Prior to the big day, I had drawn a caricature of the bride and her late best friend from a photo... she would have been a bridesmaid...so, she was there in spirit and in caricature. The thoughtfulness and love from the bride for her friend really touched me.

This artist, once she put her fascinator on...was ready to DRAW! And this event held a first for me...I drew on toned paper, specifically BLUE, as that was the wedding color. I knew it was going to be just line drawings because there were over 200 guests, but the paper allowed me to add highlights (well, after the first one where I hadn't thought of it yet)) and I think it worked out pretty well!

After the cocktail hour I moved into the ballroom...

All told, I did 73 guest faces in B/W, in a span of about 4 hours!
