Hallo-wedding!!!! with caricatures and other neato stuff!!

This non-traditional bride and groom chose the perfect moniker for their wedding...Monster Mashley!! And I got to use my fancy Halloween calligraphy!

It was held at an appropriate venue too, Monster Vegan in Philly, whose decor gloriously amplified the wedding theme. I was set up under the gaze of some famous faces...

...in a room with old B sci-fi and horror flicks playing...not to mention one with a pre-Captain Kirk!

Halloween FUNdraiser caricatures~

 Way back in the spring, I was booked for this Halloween-themed fundraiser to benefit 

Faithful Friends Animal Shelter, 

but I had no idea there was gonna be LIVE MUSIC! Harness and 440 were fantastic! It felt like being at a high school dance, except we are all old now ;-) !

So....caricatures! Still getting accustomed to the new tripod easel. 

Yes, of course I drew the Gene Simmons impersonator!!!   :-P

Dog Caricatures Part 2

This was an outdoor fundraiser for SavedMe at the Hotel Monaco, just down from Independence Hall in Philly. It was in the 80's, so it felt like August, not October....

Caricatures were drawn on a $10 donation basis. I was busy with real pets and photos of pets, once people saw what I was doing!

Afterwards, I went down  the block and spent a few minutes looking at where the USA was born....

 

Boho-Garden Wedding Silhouettes

This gorgeous couple booked me to do silhouettes at their very boho and artistic garden wedding!

The reception was held in this wooded courtyard in a bustling section of Philadelphia, but you would never know it! Here is my setup:

The bride designed the backing cards for my silhouettes :

And it was the first use of my new, Victorian hand clip, which kept my envelopes from blowing around!

Lots of eager guests getting silhouettes precluded me from getting many photos with subjects, so I took pics of the guest book:

All told, I was able to cut almost four dozen silhouettes in my allotted time.
