Summer camp arts day caricatures!

It was "Picasso Week" at this kids' summer camp and I was invited to do Mini-caricatures of them. In two hours I cranked out 36 caricatures, plus a couple of camp counselors, using my my speedy line-drawing-only mode.  Here's a few. :-)

43 Fourth-Grader Caricatures (and two teachers)

These are my speedy line-drawing-only style caricatures, did 45 faces in just slightly over 2.5 hours. After each one, the teacher would photocopy it so the students could color themselves in! What fun! And SCHOOL'S OUT!

This little moppet celebrated her 1st birthday with a Safari theme!

Party was held in a sweet little-kids' fun center. I sat on a little-kids chair!
Lots of kids, so not many photos:

10th Birthday caricatures at a fun sports venue...

This purple-loving, tropical-fish-fan celebrated his 10th birthday with lots of his and his family's friends (his father was also celebrating his 40th birthday at the same party!)

But this caricaturist was there to draw THE KIDS. And here they are (it's caricatures only, as most parents were not present to give permission to take photos of their little ones...I always ask :)

...and this mom got in at the end with her son! So cute!!!

"Frozen" 3rd birthday caricatures

For the second week in a row, I drew at a child's birthday party where the mother was a fabulous event planner! This one was "Frozen" themed, Elsa and Olaf were there, and a few dozen children and their parents were absolutely charmed!! It was held in a gorgeous event space in a mall, first time I was in this type of location, but when you think about it, it makes total sense!

Here's my spot, well-lit and spacious, and where guests could see me!

I had lots of little faces to do (only did children here, so all families would have a party favor) so here are a few of them:

Olaf wanted his photo with me, since I was drawing HIM on all the caricatures!
My sparkly beret got an outing for this very appropriate event---I don't wear it much because it's actually a bit too small...
Thanks to The Bash for putting me together with this wonderful client.
Here is what she had to say with regards to my services:
This was the absolute best caricature vendor we have ever had. 100% would use her again....5 stars!

Thanks so much!!! :-)

Parish harvest festival caricatures!

Lots of trios at this one!

Spent a glorious fall afternoon drawing kid caricatures under a tree, (that's why the photos look so blue!) on parish grounds for a harvest festival!

They definitely liked the results! Thanks for having me!!

Caricatures at Havre de Grace wedding on the water

On a balmy summer late afternoon in June....someone's memorable waterfront wedding happened...and my caricatures were there too!

The bride and groom had actually been drawn at a holiday party I did last year, and thought having me at their wedding reception would be fun (of course, it was!) They actually used that caricature as a sign in:

I'm getting ahead of myself, but here are the color caricatures of the bride and groom, and their new blended family, that I did as my finale at the reception:

This was an especially scenic venue: Havre de Grace is a beautiful, historic town bordering the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay...and the venue was right on the water, too!

They had lots to occupy the children who attended, so thoughtful!

A  beautiful bride. :) I am usually situated somewhere where I can photograph her on her way in...

Now I am going to show you ALL the wedding guests that I drew.

So, that's 26 people in shaded B/W, and six people in full color, two of whom were the full-length bride and groom, in three hours. 32 people total. Lots of happy folks told me they'd never seen a caricaturist at a wedding reception before. I replied, you won't forget this one now, will you?!

"We are going to FRAME THIS!" ;-)

The sun was setting as I left. Gorgeous spot!!! Thanks for having me!
