This school district likes to greet teachers on their first day back with an early-morning wellness fair, so I was there by 7 am to set up in the gym ,with my Copics at the ready! The ladies (and they were ALL ladies) arrived and I photographed them, then got to work!
Many of them knew from social media that "live guest illustration" is one of the hottest things at wedding receptions right now, so they were thrilled to get one in this setting!
They were also surprised that I include faces on mine, as so many artists in this field do the faceless variety...
And of course I had to do one of my friend Katie, whom I've known since she was five years old :-)
