All-color Sweet 16 caricatures!

It's not often that I get to do COLOR caricatures at a party, but I did, at this Gigsalad-booked Sweet 16 (for a fellow Emily even!)! Most of the girls wanted to be drawn with their beloved dogs--that made it even more fun for me!

My wonderful client had this to say on Gigsalad afterwards:

Awesome! Amazing!

We hired Emily for a sweet 16 bday party. The girls had a blast, all received their very own personalized picture.

Emily’s pricing was very much in line with the market and Emily did a wonderful job.

5 stars!!! Highly recommend!!!

Thanks from this Emily to that Emily and her fam!

Sweet 16 Caricatures at Loblolly Acres!

Here is almost everybody I drew, in three hours, at this fabulous Sweet 16 extravaganza at one of my favorite and top venues, Loblolly Acres in Delaware!

I know there are a few I forgot to photograph. But you can get a feel for my output, which I share with my clients afterwards, so they also can enjoy what I was doing while they were busy running their party!
Here are a few 'subject with drawing pics'...and my Reels on IG.  Reel 1   Reel 2

Thank you for having me! (My client found me by attending Loblolly's 2024 Open House!)

Sweet 16 caricatures

On Saturday evening, my caricatures were part of an absolutely lovely Sweet 16 celebration at a NJ country club...the birthday girl was a talented dancer and singer---she did BOTH in a performance for her guests (her friends danced too). I was happy to add MY kind of performance too!

Check out her reaction and the general vibe (from my Instagram)

My client ( birthday girl's mom) found me via my Gigsalad page.
Here's a few of my drawings!

My client left this feedback shortly afterwards ( Thank YOU!!!)

"Absolutely Amazing!! Emily was so wonderful to work with, she was on time and ready to start working as planned. Her drawings were a big hit of the party!! They were simply beautiful. Thank you so much Emily for be there and giving the party that extra thing that brought laughter and fun, you are amazing!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!"

Sweet 16 Caricatures on a Snowy Evening!

I will start by saying I'm glad my husband has a truck...and doesn't mind driving in snow...

...and also, my very thoughtful client put a lot of effort into moving up the time of her daughter's candy-themed Sweet 16 party, so everyone could get home before the full force of the snowstorm arrived.

The venue was a gorgeous place to have a Sweet 16 party!

Needless to say, it wasn't supposed to be THAT early on a Friday night ;-)
I drew many, many guests but I didn't get to the birthday girl...so I'll be doing her caricature from a photo. However, here are some of her friends!

And the DJ:

and her dad and brother:
This is how my backyard looked when we got home, safe and sound. Thanks so much to my great client!

Backyard Sweet 16 Caricatures

So many folks are utilizing their backyards for parties this year (and rightly so), I am so happy to feel safer doing events outdoors while the weather stays nice. I'm sure the tent companies are happy too.

This family didn't need a tent, their backyard was a little paradise for celebrating a Sweet 16. The birthday girl posed with her cat, whom she called her"son". Of course, he's in her caricature!

Happy birthday Sage! Thanks for having me! :-D

First live gig of 2021!!! :-D Can you tell how thrilled I am????

One year after the advent of Covid-19 changed all our lives, people want to celebrate getting through it! On Saturday, I helped a wonderful young lady to celebrate her Sweet 16 at the (hopefully) tail end of the pandemic. I also drew at her FIRST birthday party fifteen years ago, how special they remembered me and sought me out!!! This time, her parents went to a lot of effort to make sure it was SAFE for everybody to get together. The tent on the front deck was just for me and my sitters! The one in the driveway held the games and dance floor, and there was another spot out back, for the grown-ups. It was so great to be with people and converse and actually be at a party! I literally almost cried with joy while drawing at this  event. Thanks so much for having me!
