Company holiday party caricatures in Bethlehem!

A fabulous group of finance folks had a blast at their holiday party at the Artquest Building at Steelstacks, which is an event venue on the grounds of the former Bethlehem Steel works. Great location and faces!!!

And did I mention it was an UGLY XMAS SWEATER party?

They're not ugly to me---I loved including them in the caricatures!

A Holiday party--perfect time for a company GROUP CARICATURE!

 This was an enjoyable challenge! 25 people in one composition, that I drew organically...meaning I started with the two owners, bottom center, and just kind of drew others in randomly. It's done with Copic Sketchmarkers on a 24" x 36" YES!All-media canvas, which I had never tried before--but it suited my purposes perfectly. I was situated in a lobby area just outside of the ballroom... so I worked from photos, that I took of the employees. Once I finished the large group caricature (which took about two hours and fifteen minutes), I drew individuals and couples for the rest of the party!

Lovely area just outside the ballroom, for me to work from. Usually I ask to be IN the main room with the guests, but this suited my purposes better  and was also good for social distancing as people were more spread out!

Another dental-practice holiday party with caricatures!

 This one was for the same dental practice, but in another town...and this time it was in a restaurant...

More appreciative subjects: (especially for my accurate portrayal of their TEETH!) ;-)

Sweet 17th Birthday caricatures!

This young lady had to forego a Sweet 16 celebration last year because of the pandemic. So this was her Sweet 17th-- with slumber party festivities and caricatures!  Everyone was in full color because of the small number of guests. They gave me a wonderful reaction when I drew the birthday girl as a finale, and they ALL saw it at once:

The various themes for each caricature were all fun and unique.

In-store holiday event caricatures...

 On a bright and shiny December Saturday morning, my caricatures were an unexpected bonus for customers at an upscale home/gift shop not far from Wilmington, Delaware. The hot-cake item folks were buying were POTUS, VPOTUS and RBG tree ornaments!

Santa was on hand as well, visiting many of the shoppes in the complex. I heard that FLOTUS was actually shopping nearby, (folks came in telling us so!) but she didn't come into our particular shop...it would have been fun to see her buy an ornament of her own husband!!

All my drawings were full color, and most of them were live sitters.

Company Christmas Party in iconic diner!

 This fun booking came to me through The Bash, the client was a first-time caricaturist-booker. I assured her that her employees would enjoy it!!! And they absolutely did, in fact she kept me on a bit longer! 

This couple (below) were hilarious, he was stoic and she giggled her way through sitting for me. Loved her shirt too!

New Jersey is known for its amazing diners, and this one was called the "Phily" Diner, as opposed to Philly. Wonderful client send me home with goodies that my husband and I enjoyed later that night!!!

Dental practice holiday party caricatures!

This was A LOTTA FUN! I knew that my drawing teeth extremely accurately would be acceptable at THIS event...as opposed to the many times over the years that I've been asked (mostly by parents of small kids) to NOT draw teeth as they were but to *improve* them...

I actually drew the caricatures in a TREATMENT room---next to some sugar-laden, teeth-rotting goodies! 

Love this reaction!! Actually there were a ton of great reactions. Must have been all the sugar!!

Delightful couple opt for having my caricatures at their December wedding reception...

...after the bride's cousin, had me at hers in October! So I'll start with the bridal couple, and their reaction!

So, I started out drawing during the cocktail hour in the huge gaily-decorated foyer...then moved into the ballroom once all the guests went in, as dinner started.
