Belated wedding reception MINI-CAricatures!

This lovely couple got married five years ago just as the Covid-19 pandemic was gripping our country. They couldn't have a reception then, but they did this weekend--they called it their AFTER PARTY----and my MINI-caricatures were a part of it!

Of course, I drew a full-length, full color deluxe caricature for them. :-)

The venue was one I was familiar with, The Dahlia, right on the rivier in Wilmington, not far from my home--so that was nice for me!
And I wore my new hat, from my friend Celestia!
Now for some MINI-caricatures (just 5 x 5)

This last guy got drawn with his wife (above) AND his friend (below)!

Ya wanna see IG Reels? I got 'em:   Reaction 1.   Reaction 2.  Ambiance!

Thank you for having me and best wishes!!!

Easter Egg Hunt Caricatures...

...for children of varying abilities (think beeping eggs for sight-impaired, etc.). The Now I Can Northeast organization put on their 3rd annual Easter Egg Hunt, and they asked me to bring my caricature skills out to Lancaster, PA. So I did! And I got to enjoy meeting the little egg-hunters, and the Egg-Leaver himself!

Didn't take many pics, as being speedy as a rabbit here ( doing line-drawing -only caricatures) meant more kids got drawn...

A lovely assistant was provided to keep my line organized, thank you!

Buh-bye, Easter Bunny!

I received this review on Google from my client, thank you so much:
If there were 10 stars, I would give them! We found Emily on Google, and what a perfect fit she was for an Adaptive Easter Egg Hunt for children with special needs. She was kind, sensitive, and thoughtful in her approach to the children AND her caricatures were terrific!! Each caricature was fun and an excellent representation of each child. The kids loved it, and the parents were delighted with her work and truly appreciated Emily's style. Will definitely, without a doubt, contact her again!!

Sweet 16 Caricatures at Loblolly Acres!

Here is almost everybody I drew, in three hours, at this fabulous Sweet 16 extravaganza at one of my favorite and top venues, Loblolly Acres in Delaware!

I know there are a few I forgot to photograph. But you can get a feel for my output, which I share with my clients afterwards, so they also can enjoy what I was doing while they were busy running their party!
Here are a few 'subject with drawing pics'...and my Reels on IG.  Reel 1   Reel 2

Thank you for having me! (My client found me by attending Loblolly's 2024 Open House!)

PSU Caricatures at spring event in the gym

THEY! ARE! PENN! STATE!!

It's always a hoot to draw here. My caricature career may have actually started in the PSU Brandywine parking lot thirty years ago, as one of the first places I tried doing them was at the annual PSU flea market/yard sale...and found that flea markets were not optimum places for selling artwork...

Transformers!!!! Another deja vu! My son loved them in the 80's.
Thanks for having me!

Girl Scout Silhouettes!

Yesterday, I tried something new. I was asked to do a short presentation to a group of Girl Scouts, who were doing a badge pertaining to history...and my silhouettes were a perfect fit! I made up a Powerpoint showing some c.1798 silhouettes of George and Martha Washington, to show them how people loved having affordable likenesses of family members done by travelling artists...because there was no other way...unless you had the money to hire a painter! Then I did some demonstrating. All 18 girls received a silhouette, and they asked great questions! It was a very pleasant experience for all of us. :-)

IG Reel

.
You can see Martha Washington's silhouette on my laptop screen, it was done in 1798 by her granddaughter, who had some art training.
These two young ladies were the daughters of the Scout leaders so I was permitted to photograph them, here they are with their silhouettes!
And here are the rest of them!
Thanks for having me and for my swag: a box of GS cookies! :-)

College Spirit Day Stealth Mini-caricatures!

Well, they started out as Stealth Caricatures! My gig, using yellow/purple and branded 5 x 5 papers, was held in the student union's lounge at WCU.

But soon, folks caught on and a line formed...
so I just went with it and drew them from across a coffee table:
Not too many boys dared...wonder why?

Thanks for having me, what a blast!
Here's the IG Reel. :-
