Wedding caricatures on the Chesapeake Bay!

This wedding on Saturday night was simply beautiful, at a venue in Havre de Grace right on the bay. I was setting up in the entryway of a huge, elegantly draped tent, when the bride and her father glided by...is this gorgeous or what?

They just had time to get the ceremony in, before a deluge of rain came...I was originally supposed to be outside for the cocktail hour, but I had a feeling it was going to rain--so the tent was a blessing!

Fun group of faces!!

Bridesmaids are always a hoot to draw together: (they are switched from their drawing, though--the upper two are the lower two in the caricature)
Bride and groom were in high demand all night, so I did their drawing from some photos I took as they came in.

Finally, the happy scene as I left--! Thank you for having me!!!

Community Family Day Caricatures

Another annual gig I do, that had a two-year gap between visits because of the pandemic, is this lovely Family Day event held at a municipal complex.  This is one of my favorite gigs---because it's my hometown, where I grew up and have many fond memories. Was glad to be back!

These two were stoic......UNTIL THEY SAW THEIR CARICATURE :-D
Memorably, the lady MAYOR and I discovered that I knew her sister in high school.  We were both on the school newspaper----where I was the CARTOONIST! :-)

Thanks to Bettes Bounces as always for providing my skills to this event! They are a local treasure to this community. :-)

Caricatures at a combo 50th-and-1st anniversary party!

A couple celebrating their 50th anniversary also wanted to commemorate their daughter and son-in-law's 1st anniversary, since their wedding had been downsized due to the pandemic. So they invited everyone to a big backyard bash...including me and my caricatures!

Here's the 50th-anniversary lovebirds:

and here is the gentleman holding his two prior commissioned illustrations of their daughter and son-in-law, that I did before the party...(they are horror fans)
My spot was in a lovely corner of the yard:
And before long, I had a happy line of sitters getting drawn!

Thanks to my client and The Bash for a successfully-caricatured group of people! :-)
