Luau caricatures at senior-living community...

 I definitely love this client!!! She's had me do so many events in her official capacity, since I met her at a senior -living community gig, probably about twelve years ago. She's also the one I turn to on the few occasions when new clients need a reference :-D Thank you!! 

So this time, it was a luau-first-day-of-summer party that was supposed to be outside, but that was not to be (after having no rain for quite awhile ,we are being deluged with it).

Here are some of the residents I drew:

It was also a party for the hardworking staff, yay!

I even had time to do the wonderful musician who entertained while I was drawing! He took requests for his steel drums and said he liked doing Beatles songs...

so I jokingly said "Revolution" and he turned it into a tropical steel drum version!!

Cape May wedding caricatures...2023 edition

 I am honored to be on the preferred-vendor list of the Peter Shields Inn in Cape May, NJ...a beautiful Victorian seaside resort town that is one of my and my husband's favorite getaway places. So, I was thrilled to be part of yet another beachside wedding here..this one literally on the front steps, celebrating two brides:

That was my view of the ceremony while setting up!

Once the ceremony was over, people were ready to party--and get caricatured! Here they come!

Someone told me these ladies wanted their "hot legs" included!

And below, she wanted her espresso martini in it!

I just love the ornate mirrors in this room, so bear with me for the selfies...

I got a lovely email from the brides, thank you so much!

Thank you so much for drawing everyone at our wedding! No one there had been to a wedding with a caricature artist before and you were definitely a hit! Our guests loved that they could have a memory of them and a loved one to take home. Thank you again for contributing your talents to our big day; booking you was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding. 

10th birthday disco-themed caricatures!

This is the reaction as the birthday girl shows off her caricature! Loved that I got to see this!

I also loved that I got to draw the huge sunglasses which were an awesome party favor!

She wanted a panda hugging her. I think it turned out well!

Trade show caricatures!

I love weekday gigs!

This was a small trade show held on the University of Delaware campus--my caricatures were one of the giveaways!

Thanks for having me!! And also to my husband for driving me to this one, too.

 

High school's graduation celebration, in the gymnasium!

My husband deserves some heartfelt kudos here...he drove me to this event, and unloaded/loaded my gear for me, as I was just starting to recover from a bacterial infection after getting bitten by some insect. Needless to say, I was not feeling 100%, but I figured I could draw if he did all the other stuff. And it worked! 

My lovely repeat client even made sure my hubby came in and got something to eat (he was sitting in the car waiting for me). Thank you, N!!
