Marlo and I motored WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY upstate for a college event! Don't you wish you had a CARICATURE SHIRT of your very own!?? (or hat?) We had a blast! And our client even sprang for a nice hotel room for two tired travelers.
Here's a view of the long trip north, and a little video of the campus and surrounding area from the hotel.
I really like these. How did you charge for things like that?
ReplyDeleteHi 53an, thanks! It was an agent gig, but I enjoyed doing apparel so much I am thinking of incorporating it into my own gig repetoire--- so that means giving some thought to pricing.
ReplyDeleteyeah! they look great emily, what kind of drawing tools did you guys use, special fabric markers or anything?
ReplyDeleteThanks Sam! We just used big binder clips to stretch the shirts on a board, then drew with three different fabric pens...a Rub-a-Dub ( whish is Sharpie's brand of fabric marker), and two different Marvy pens, a big fat round point and a brush point.
ReplyDeleteI like the results, the caricatures are very 'clean'.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it very difficult to draw on fabric?
No, it wasn't too hard, we just pulled the fabric tight with big binder clips and that seemed to work well enough. I was so pleased that the kids liked them so much, we used up all the shirts first! Then went on to do hats.
