Oh, I love Joe Bluhm. He's what encouraged me to really concentrate on caricature with his digital podcasts. You can learn so much from watching him. I like your rendition :) Are you going to make this one a digital piece?
Yes, this is a TOTAL digital piece (before this I had always done a pencil sketch and scanned it into Photoshop) and I've picked up techniques from Joe's podcast. For instance, starting from a middle value--after I finished the sketch, I used the paintbucket tool to make the whole thing blue, then started painting...next post is finished version!
